Hi, I am Dr Torben Smith, an experienced Chemistry tutor and academic coach with a proven track record of student success. For about two decades I have been the Head of Faculty and Course Leader for one of the top A-level Chemistry departments in the UK, whilst offering premium A-tutoring each year to few well regarded families.

In 2023 I made a very successful move to make the bulk of my time tutoring; enabling me to offer an even better service. Offering a premium service enables me to have fewer tutees so that I can help them better whilst ensuring their mental health doesn't suffer. The UK AQA and Oxford International AQA specifications are really similiar and I can help with both.

How much is A-level Chemistry Tutoring?

One-to-one online tutoring from £80/week - you'll reap rewards for the rest of your life

£80/hr mornings and up to 1pm finish

£90/hr afternoon 1pm start to 5pm finish

£100/hr 5pm or later start

In person tutoring

£120/hour

One hour of weekly tutoring comes as part of the full package of help from £80 / week

100% A*-A for my long term year 13 online AQA tutees in 2024. 100% A*-B for all weekly AQA tutees including some who joined much later.
